Growing up in Indiana, it seemed that I was destined to love basketball from the start. I had the privilege of playing at Plymouth High School for an Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame coach. In the 2004-05 season we finished runner-up in the state finals, losing in overtime on a last second shot from half court. I then had the opportunity to continue my playing career at Grace College, where I was a two year team captain and played for an NAIA Hall of Fame coach. In 2008-09 we advanced to the Elite 8 in the NAIA National Tournament and in 2009-10 I was honored with the Leroy Walker Champions of Character Award for the Mid-Central Conference.
Overall, I have enjoyed a successful basketball playing career. Basketball has helped shape me into the person I am today. It has taught me the value of hard work, excellence, toughness, teamwork, character, and leadership. As a skills coach, my hope is to instill these values into my players while helping them raise their game to the next level.
